Aylesbury Archers

Welcome

Introduction
The Aylesbury Archers is an Archery club for individuals who like to shoot within a relaxed and relatively informal atmosphere, if  you already enjoy archery or have never used a bow before and would like to learn then come along to the club.

We are a small group of Archers of different abilities and ages and although the majority of us shoot a recurve bow we do have members that sometimes use the traditional long bow.  The club also welcomes archers who shoot other types of bow including the compound and horse bow but as an archery club we are sorry but we do not cater for crossbow users.

Shooting Facilities (Summer)
During the summer we shoot outside on the rear football pitch, we set up our own targets which means that you are completely free to shoot to any range you wish but you will have to retrieve your arrows yourself (it can be a long walk).

Shooting Facilities (Winter)
During the winter we shoot in the sports hall, its a very short range (15m) but provides a good opportunity to tune bows and to perfect ones shooting technique

21 November 2011
2011 has been a good year for the club but as a consequence we find ourselves at capacity for our our indoor venue, we will therefore not be accepting any new
members, either existing archers or beginners until April 2012 when we return outside.
